Death On Demand was a great adventure, but I never want to shoot a film again in 16 days! I learnt a lot about what works and what doesn’t and while I can sometimes cringe at my own work, at the end of the day the film has had major retail presence, is carried on Netflix, and Blockbuster, and has a dedicated fan base -- there are college groups across the US that get tanked and watch this film! After I met a couple of sales agents at Cannes I became convinced that we should be producing a Sesame Street DVD AND a bloodbath in the same month! We dove in, located a reasonable genre script, raised the money quickly and made a deal with Barry Barnholtz who eventually distributed the film through MTI Video in the summer of 2008, and then was released in Germany and Austria by KSM in January 2009. In 2010 The film was released in Australia and New Zealand and was also be re-released on BlueRay in the US. I will not pretend this is anything resembling a great movie, but the film was an accomplishment on many levels.
