So whats up with Sarah?
Sarah was born in New York City and was exposed to an artistic life from a very early age. She received formal training as an actress in London, New York and Paris studying with Robert Lewis, The New York Shakespeare Conservatory, Vivian Matalon, Suzannah Lawson, Jean-Paul Denizon (from Peter Brook’s company) as well as with her own parents Elizabeth Seal and Zack Matalon. At sixteen, she began working front of house at the National Theatre in London, where she saw all the plays while pursuing her theatre studies. At eighteen she returned to New York to continue her studies. Once there she quickly starts working, dancing with a Brazilian dance group performing in Canada, Miami and NYC, working as a stage manager for a children’s theatre company and joining Playwrights Horizons; working as an actress with the developmental department and their new writers.
At twenty-two, she took a turn that led to a fifteen year career as teacher and presenter in London, New York and Paris in the fitness industry. She took her skills to some of the most prestigious health clubs in the world including a multi-year period at the Paris Ritz. She is a fluent French speaker, and now calls Paris home. Several years ago she began writing seriously and made a decision to pursue a career in film and television production.
She has quickly infiltrated the cinema scene in France working for Productions de la Roche. She is a regular guest of prestigious “round table” gatherings along with other producers, directors, and actors in the French movie industry. She completed extended courses at the Center for Training in Film Production (CEFPF as Head of Production and Executive Producer and has a concise overview of film production and financing in France and Europe. She is presently in early development of three feature films including The Fourth Monkey an action thriller set across Europe, Africa and the Philippines, a French language animated film, and a French sitcom Do You Spit English?
Sarah is a partner in French production company Gazelle. Oh and by the way, she and Adam are siblings!
