Some Stuff about Loren
Loren Sklar is both financial analyst and experienced filmmaker. Loren worked for three years on the Equity Derivative Strategies team at Goldman Sachs performing risk analytics and quantitative modeling. He left Wall Street in 2002 to pursue a career in film production. Loren served as assistant director on a number of projects including the independently produced Flannel Pajamas, a 2006 Sundance selection starring Justin Kirk, Julianne Nicholson and Jamie Harrold, and Universal Pictures’ recent blockbuster Duplicity starring Julia Roberts and Clive Owen.
In addition, Loren lectures on topics of film finance. His most recent talk, "Film Finance as Risk Capital: Exploring a Misunderstood Asset Class", was presented at the Institute of International Film Finance in New York City.
Loren is presently focussed on the action thriller SOL which he is producing with Adam Matalon. He will be presenting the project at AFM.
